ABU DHABI CULTURAL FOUNDATION RESIDENCY

Spencer was selected along with 12 other Artists for the Annual Residency Programme.
As someone that has lived outside his country of origin for the last 25 years and in the UAE for 16 of those  years Spencer explored his state of being temporary and  transient . During the residency he also researched and created works that represent his Family heritage as Cockneys and the colloquial languages of the U.A.E .  The result was a collection of  Objects, sculptures, moving image and performance works  called "I am neither Cockney nor Khaleeji"
